What Does Hero Mean?
The mission of the Greater Richmond ARC is to create life-fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities. They are a Richmond-based not-for-profit created in 1954 by area families who were determined to find a better way of caring for their loved ones with disabilities. Their wide range of programs and services including pediatric therapy, social and cognitive skill building for youth and adults, weekend respite, summer camps, and employment have a profound impact on the 1,300 individuals and families they serve each year.
